Hello Lovely People,
This week were going to explore KitKat’s character. Who is she? Well the inspiration for KitKat came from many of my real friends. KitKat a bit of an amalgamation of important people in my life. Well that was how she was initially created but then as I wrote the book and rewrote the book KitKat really came into her own. She had her own character arc, her own persona, her own goals and that was really fun to write. KitKats character arc was something that kind of just happened. You see her at the beginning of the book heart broken and by the end of it she is ready to start dating and enjoying life again. KitKat’s struggles are so true to real life. Heartbreak is something that most of us will experience in our life and its tough to navigate. KitKat shows us the raw pain of a relationship dying and how that impacts on other relationships and how processing the death of a relationship can sometimes mean needing the space and the time to grieve that loss. Whilst KitKat is dealing with a lot of trauma you see her playful side too. You see her caring friendship with Jaia and how she tries to be the voice of reason at times, helping and guiding Jaia to make the right decisions. KitKat is a very interesting character one that I think we haven’t even scratched the surface of yet…
